Steppin’ out in St. Louis’ Vibrant Nightlife Scene
On vacation, daylight hours are consumed by sightseeing adventures or perhaps strolls through engaging neighborhoods. Once the sun sets, however, a different vibe takes over. With the arrival of darkness and the illumination of streetlights, an electricity tingles over people looking to go out and let their hair down.
In St. Louis, the inviting PM and early AM hours offer both big and small diversions. On the big side, there are plenty of huge events going on just about every night of the week, whether at a major league sports stadium, a fancy dinner or an entertainment event at an arena venue. Folks can dress to the nines, score those front-row seats and paint the town red. Others prefer to find the quiet out-of-the-way pleasures of a neighborhood pub or that legendary mom-and-pop eatery that serves up that one amazing dish that can be had nowhere else. It doesn’t matter which scenario most fits your style, St. Louis will find a nighttime activity to fit your bill.
Eat, Drink and Be Merry
The first order of business before doing a night in St. Louis is to fuel up. Whether it’s for a quick grab-and-go meal or it’s an extended dining experience to cover your evening, St. Louis has you covered. For those on the go, grabbing fried chicken, St. Louis-style pizza or a St. Paul sandwich is a classic move. But if you’re seeking an elegant experience, try some of the fine dining options. Imagine slowly slicing through prime beef at one of the Gateway City’s amazing chophouses. How about a classy Italian experience awash with choice wine from the cellar? Whatever your choice, you’ll find what you need in this town.
Perhaps your interests lie more squarely in libations? Boy, do we have good news for you. St. Louis has a tremendous craft bar pub scene going. You’ll find flowing taps aplenty here and it’s no wonder. After all, this is the place where Budweiser started! From national brands to microbrews, flight after flight of suds awaits! The wine bar scene is strong as well. Enticing vintages can be sampled from around the world, with many featuring local Missouri wines as well. Prefer some stronger stuff? Seek out one of the many speakeasies here, generously pouring delicious selections of regional whiskeys, bourbon and more.

The city is one of the historic epicenters of the early Blues movement, and that legacy still resonates throughout the many venues strewn about from block to block.
