No further than 35 miles from downtown Los Angeles, Huntington Beach is one of the California coastlines premier beach cities.
Located in the northern part of Orange County, “HB” (as the locals like to call it) is a surfer’s paradise filled with wineries, great shopping, a thriving foodie scene, whale watching, and just about anything fun to do under the sun. A city of about 200,000 people, this is no sleepy beach bum town. It’s the most populous metro area in Orange County, and ranks as one of the top 25 biggest cities in California. Beaches can be enjoyed with sunshine by day and bonfires by night. Some of the best along the 9.5 miles of sand include Huntington State Beach, Bolsa Chica State Beach, and Huntington City Beach. Nearby communities of interest include Seal Beach, Long Beach, Newport Beach, and Costa Mesa. Be sure to check the Downtown area and the famous Huntington Beach Pier.
