Treetop Canopy Adventure
Any mention of a Caribbean island getaway immediately evokes images of white sand beaches studded with palm trees and massaged by gentle waves of sparkling turquoise water. To be sure, St. Lucia has all of that, and in spades. But it’s also one of the most mountainous islands in the whole region, and the interior has a rainforest, waterfalls and botanical gardens. Quaint fishing villages dot the shore. Which means you’d be missing a lot if you spent all your time on the beach. So why not log some quality time…in the treetops?
Treetop Adventure Park is an above-ground adventure that’s exhilarating and fun for the entire family. A series of no fewer than 12 zip lines, including St. Lucia’s longest, fastest and highest, wind their way through the rainforest canopy. The adventure also includes five net bridges and 20 platforms that allow you to hang out — quite literally — high above the ground, soak up the great views and admire the amazing diversity of the island’s lush forest ecosystem.
You’ll be picked up in the morning in an air-conditioned bus. As you enjoy the great scenery along St. Lucia’s east coast, a guide will provide helpful instructions and information you’ll need to know. Some interesting history about the island — and great humor — will likely be thrown in as well. Once you arrive, you’ll be outfitted with harness, helmet and gloves. Some final safety instructions will be given, and then you’re off to the treetops.

Those who are pregnant, physically challenged or have a heart condition are advised not to participate in the zip line adventure.
Have three times the fun by booking with Adventure Tour’s Triple Adventure, which adds a jeep safari and waterfall hike to the zip line course. The short hike will take you to Errand Waterfall, St. Lucia’s highest accessible waterfall, and you’ll be able to jump in the water and cool off — right at the base of the falls. The jeep safari puts you behind the wheel, and you’ll rumble down St. Lucia’s scenic east coast until you enter the luxuriant rain forest. Next stop: zooming through the treetops on nearly a mile of zip lines.
Get ready for some amazing runs. Get ready for some breathtaking scenery. Get ready for something you’ll be talking about for years to come. And get your Tarzan yell ready — you’re gonna use it!
